Most writers will tell you plainly that in order to be a great writer you must first be a great reader. It's a notion I wholeheartedly agree with. I have always loved to read, long before I ever realised writing was something I wanted to do seriously. And it was the discovery of some of my favorite authors which promoted me to pick up my own pen.
I read whenever and where ever I can, which is mostly restricted journeys to and from work. Now and then a book will come along that completely blows me away and other times you'll see me clawing, tooth and nail, to make it to the end of a story. However one thing I always try and do is finish the book. It's always a sad day when I can make it to the end of a story.
